Wine
Serrat Nebbiolo has been made from the winery's estate plantings just outside Yarra Glen since 2017. The vines grow in grey brown clay soils with buckshot gravel.
Nebbiolo is well suited to the Yarra Valley's cold autumn nights and warm days. The fruit is wild yeast fermented with pump overs. After two weeks on skins, the wine is sent to seasoned barrels to mature.
Brick red in colour, Serrat Nebbiolo has fine fruit characters with a seamless tension between acid and tannin, finishing long. Cellaring potential is five years.
